Autumn Mosaic Glow
Autumn in Portugal means chestnuts roasting on street corners and softer afternoon light, and this arrangement is made for that time of year. The florist arranges seasonal blooms by hand in a mosaic container whose colored pieces pick up the glow of the flowers. Because it arrives complete, it is a practical housewarming present for friends settling into a new place before winter. Florists along the Algarve coast and elsewhere, including Portimão and Albufeira, prepare and deliver it by hand. One thing to remember if you are abroad: 1 November is a public holiday in Portugal, so plan around it.
