Lavender Glaze Spring Pitcher
When spring comes, a pitcher of lavender blooms on the table is as good as an open window. The florist arranges the stems by hand in a ceramic pitcher, capturing the freshness of the season, and the pitcher stays on as a useful piece for the home. In Portugal it is a lovely gift to send at Easter, when godparents and godchildren traditionally exchange small presents. It is prepared and delivered in person in Maia, Figueira da Foz and other towns. Ordering from overseas, say in the notes if the family will be away for the long weekend, so an earlier day can be arranged.
